In recent years, the company has experienced rapid growth and commercial expansion. This growth has been accompanied by a substantial increase in working capital requirements and customer receivables. The shareholder is now initiating a focused restructuring and crisis management programme to restore financial discipline, strengthen working capital control, protect capital, and ensure full transparency over asset quality and risk exposure.

Project Description:

CE Interim is seeking an Interim Managing Director to assume full responsibility for the Romanian subsidiary, acting in the capacity of interim Chief Restructuring Officer or interim CFO profile with executive authority. The mandate is centred on working capital stabilisation, receivables control, and the re establishment of rigorous financial governance within a fast grown organisation.

This is a decisive interim executive leadership assignment requiring operational client facing turnaround expertise, financial restructuring capability, and the authority to reset discipline.

  • Assume Managing Director responsibility with full executive authority and direct reporting to the international shareholder
  • Lead a restructuring and crisis management programme focused on working capital optimisation, receivables transparency, and liquidity stabilisation
  • Deliver a comprehensive and fact based assessment of open receivables, financing exposure, and collectability within the first three to six weeks
  • Personally engage with key customers where required to validate outstanding balances, challenge payment behaviour, and accelerate recovery
  • Strengthen governance, reporting standards, and internal controls across finance, commercial, and operations functions
  • Establish robust working capital management routines and clear accountability across the leadership team
  • Provide structured reporting and scenario based recommendations to the shareholder regarding asset quality and risk mitigation
  • Support operational continuity while implementing decisive financial stabilisation measures

Interim Manager Required Skills:

You are a senior interim executive with a strong background in restructuring and crisis management, typically operating as Interim CEO, CRO, or CFO in high growth trading or FMCG environments.

  • Former Managing Director, Chief Restructuring Officer, CFO, or transformation leader with proven experience in operational turnaround and financial stabilisation
  • Background in trading, FMCG, distribution, or other working capital intensive sectors
  • Demonstrated success in regaining control over large receivables portfolios and implementing disciplined working capital frameworks
  • Strong expertise in liquidity management, credit risk assessment, and capital protection strategies
  • Comfortable operating independently with full statutory responsibility in a politically sensitive environment
  • Direct, resilient, and pragmatic leadership style with the credibility to challenge assumptions and drive accountability
  • Hands on approach, willing to engage personally with customers and internal stakeholders where required
  • Experienced in cross border transformation and reporting to international shareholders under high pressure conditions
  • Fluent in Romanian with strong English for structured group communication
