Operating multiple production facilities worldwide (Poland, Hungary, United Arab Emirates – Dubai, Germany etc) they are renowned for their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. The Hungarian plant, situated in North-East of Hungary, plays a pivotal role in their global manufacturing network, focusing on producing high-quality products for various industrial applications.

Project Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager / Operations Director to lead our client’s manufacturing facility in Hungary. This role entails full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and requires a hands-on approach to drive operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards. 
• Performance Management: Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and enhance productivity, operational performance, and overall efficiency.
• Shop Floor Management: Spend a significant portion of working hours on the shop floor to directly engage with processes and personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lean Manufacturing: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve product quality. 
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, promoting a motivational environment and modern management practices.

Manager Required Skills:

The successful candidate will possess:

• Experience: Proven track record in a plant management or operations director role within a manufacturing environment, with very hands-on approach
• Cultural Acumen: Familiarity with German working culture and fluency in the German language are highly beneficial.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in Hungarian and English is mandatory to effectively communicate with local and international teams.
• Leadership Style: An open-minded, hands-on leader with a modern management approach, capable of inspiring and driving change.
• Technical Expertise: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is highly advantageous. Educational Background: A degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
