We are offering an interim management opportunity for an experienced Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead a 12-month transformation project optimizing manufacturing operations across Mexico and the USA. The assignment is based in Mexico City with frequent travel to the USA headquarters. Key project responsibilities:- Leading performance improvement efforts at the Mexico plant (approx. 800 employees), with a focus on productivity, cost control, and product quality.
- Reassessing the company’s manufacturing strategy in response to changing tariff policies and trade dynamics between Mexico and the USA.
- Designing and implementing logistics and supply chain improvements to boost efficiency and resilience.
- Managing the relocation or expansion of manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Europe, or other relevant regions to align with business strategy.
- Working closely with senior leadership to ensure operational strategies are aligned with business goals and market demands.
- Ensuring full compliance with trade laws, environmental regulations, and sustainability commitments.
Interim Manager Required Skills:
We are seeking an interim executive who brings:- Extensive experience as a Group COO, Interim COO, VP Operations, or similar senior role within industrial manufacturing.
- A strong background in manufacturing performance improvement, operational transformation, and footprint optimization in Mexico and the USA.
- Deep expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and trade compliance—particularly in the context of USA-Mexico trade relations.
- Proven experience in managing large operational teams (500+ employees), ideally with direct experience in Mexico.
- A results-oriented mindset, able to develop strategies and drive execution effectively.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and cross-cultural management skills.
- Flexibility to travel regularly between Mexico and the USA.
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish is highly desirable.
