About Our Client:

Our client is a leading global industrial manufacturing group with a significant operational base in North America, anchored by a major production facility in Mexico City employing around 800 people. The company supplies primarily US-based customers, with 70% of production based in Mexico. Faced with economic challenges, fluctuating tariffs, and global supply chain pressures, the company is driving a strategic transformation to strengthen its operations and future-proof its business. This project offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced interim executive to make a real impact.

Project Description:

We are offering an interim management opportunity for an experienced Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead a 12-month transformation project optimizing manufacturing operations across Mexico and the USA. The assignment is based in Mexico City with frequent travel to the USA headquarters. Key project responsibilities:

  • Reassessing the company’s manufacturing strategy in response to changing tariff policies and trade dynamics between Mexico and the USA.
  • Designing and implementing logistics and supply chain improvements to boost efficiency and resilience.
  • Managing the relocation or expansion of manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Europe, or other relevant regions to align with business strategy.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to ensure operational strategies are aligned with business goals and market demands.
  • Ensuring full compliance with trade laws, environmental regulations, and sustainability commitments.

  • Proven experience in managing large operational teams (500+ employees), ideally with direct experience in Mexico.
  • A results-oriented mindset, able to develop strategies and drive execution effectively.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and cross-cultural management skills.
