Project Description:

  • Leadership: Assume full responsibility for an organization comprising 400-500 employees.
  • Business Growth: Actively manage and expand a business generating approximately 300 million USD in revenue.
  • Operational Excellence: Optimize operations across up to 10 sites in the South-West USA, improving recycling efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Internal Networking: Strengthen internal network development at both corporate and US levels, serving as the primary point of contact for the US Leadership team.
  • Performance Improvement: Focus on key areas such as new business development, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) alignment, and process optimization.
  • Organizational Integration: Complete the organizational transformation and integration of the existing US leadership team.
  • Standards and Systems: Establish new operational standards, practices, and systems (including CRM) to support business development and enhance performance.
  • Growth Strategies: Lead and drive further growth through mergers and acquisitions.

Interim Manager Required Skills:

  • Over 15 years of managerial experience in recycling, scrap management, and metal processing.
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing the entire recycling business process.
  • Senior management experience in similar-sized organizations, with the ability to manage a team of 400 FTE effectively.
  • Proficient in lean methodologies to optimize logistics, supply chain, and route planning between ±10 sites.
  • Strong financial background, with deep knowledge in managing working capital, inventory rotation cycle, and cost of capital.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across up to 10 different locations in the South-West USA.
