Our client is a leading toy manufacturer renowned for its high-quality consumer products. Founded almost 100 years ago, the company specializes in creating learning and imagination toys for children. With products distributed in over 50 countries, the company is committed to craftsmanship, safety, and educational value. The company is in a process of building a shared service center in Prague, Czech Republic, transitioning the Accounting processes from German entities. We are looking for an GBS, SSC Transition Manager with experience in setting-up and transitioning accounting functions from business units into shared service centers. Project location is either Germany, or Czech Republic, with some part of remote work possible.

Popis projektu:

  • Lead the transition of finance and accounting from German Business Units into a newly created Shared Service Center in Prague, Czech Republic.
  • Build, on-board, and train new team members in the Czech Republic to establish a capable and cohesive team.
  • Ensure full compliance with all laws and regulations in both the sender and receiver countries.
  • Communicate regularly with the business owners and CFO to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Prepare year-end statutory financial statements to ensure all financial activities are accurately reported.
  • Communicate and align with auditors on financial closing to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Hire and onboard a permanent successor for the overall management of the shared service center.

Interim Manager Požadované zručnosti:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Service Center (SSC) creation and transition management.
  • Proven track record of successful transitions from Western Europe to Central and Eastern Europe.
  • Finance or accouting background with solid undertanding of Profit and Loss Accounts and Balance Sheet
  • Ability to work in a stress environment and meet tough deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of Business Process Optimization to streamline operations.
  • Experience with German and East European working styles to ensure smooth cultural integration.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage, but Czech is not necessary.
