Our client is a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, internationally recognized for advanced lightweight structural components. Operating in 10+ locations worldwide, the company employs over around 5,000 employees and partners with industry leaders such as Daimler, Audi, Volkswagen and Tesla. The Mexican facility plays a pivotal role in their global manufacturing strategy. Due to escalating delivery and quality challenges, imposed tariffs, and global economic shifts, the plant is currently in escalation status with several major automotive OEMs. A decisive intervention by an experienced Interim Crisis Manager / Interim Plant Manager / Interim COO is now required to stabilize operations, rebuild trust, and reenergize the local workforce.

Descrierea proiectului:

We are searching for a high-impact Interim Crisis Plant Manager to immediately take command of the facility in Mexico with approximately 100 FTE. Your mandate: restore operational control, stabilize customer relations, and lead the workforce through a period of rapid change and recovery.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Escalation Management: Serve as the primary crisis leader to manage and de-escalate OEM concerns. Maintain structured, proactive communication with key customer contacts.
• Shopfloor & Operations Excellence: Introduce best-in-class shopfloor management systems, including daily routines, visual KPIs, and problem-solving escalation loops.
• Production Planning Optimization: Reorganize planning, scheduling, and order management processes to secure supply chain reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Global Coordination: Align daily with global logistics, engineering, and production leaders to ensure seamless integration and resource deployment across sites.
• Workforce Stabilization & Engagement:
  • Address high turnover and workforce fluctuation by stabilizing team structures and building trust.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives, transparent communication, and frontline coaching.
  • Implement a performance-driven, motivational shopfloor culture that encourages retention and accountability.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience and composure under pressure. You are a hands-on, people-focused leader with a successful track record in transforming distressed manufacturing operations particularly in the automotive sector.

• Cerințe cheie:
• Operational Turnaround Experience: 10+ years leading plant operations, with specific success in managing crisis or escalated automotive sites.
• Strong Automotive Background: Deep understanding of Tier-1 automotive supplier expectations, escalation processes, and customer interfacing.
• Leadership in Turbulent Environments: Proven ability to motivate demoralized teams, stabilize employee fluctuation, and drive structured change.
• Lean & KPI Mastery: Skilled in implementing visual performance management, lean routines, and shopfloor-based problem-solving.
• Intercultural Competence: Experience working in Mexico or similar environments; ability to navigate cultural nuances and drive team cohesion.
• Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
