About Our Client:
We are working with a Private Equity-backed European FMCG business with an established presence across multiple international markets.
The assignment focuses on a small Polish commercial business unit operating within a larger regional structure. While customer-facing sales activities are managed locally, many support and back-office functions are governed centrally.
Recent leadership disruption, organisational misalignment, and declining commercial effectiveness have created the need for an experienced interim executive to lead a comprehensive turnaround and reorganisation programme.
This is a highly visible leadership assignment offering the opportunity to stabilise the business, rebuild organisational effectiveness, strengthen team performance, and create the foundations for sustainable growth.
Project Description:
As Interim Country Director Poland, you will assume full responsibility for the local business unit, reporting directly to regional leadership.
Your mandate will be to restore organisational stability, rebuild accountability, improve commercial execution, and lead the transformation of a small sales organisation operating within a complex corporate environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full P&L responsibility for the Polish business unit
- Leading the turnaround and reorganisation of the local commercial organisation
- Implementing organisational and personnel changes to strengthen business performance
- Rebuilding management discipline, accountability, and execution standards
- Managing complex employee relations and legacy organisational issues
- Developing key talent and strengthening team capability
- Restoring commercial momentum and delivering sustainable business growth
- Acting as the primary leadership figure for the Polish operation during a critical transformation period
Key Requirements
To succeed in this assignment, you will bring:
- Proven experience leading business turnaround, restructuring, or performance improvement programmes
- Strong knowledge of Polish employment legislation and employee relations management
- Experience operating with full commercial and P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated success leading organisational change within sales-driven environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills within regional or international corporate structures
- Fluency in both Polish and English
Interim Manager Required Skills:
You are an experienced interim executive, country manager, managing director, or commercial leader with a track record of delivering results in challenging business situations.
You will likely bring:
