Our client is an established international automotive manufacturing business operating a production facility in southern Poland and supplying customers across multiple European markets.
The business requires experienced interim executive leadership to ensure continuity within its Supply Chain function during a management transition. At the same time, the organisation is preparing a warehouse improvement initiative aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, inventory control and logistics performance.
This assignment sits at the heart of plant operations, where customer service, production continuity, material availability and supplier performance must remain closely aligned. The successful interim leader will be expected to stabilise day-to-day operations while creating the foundations for sustainable supply chain improvement.
Project Description:
This assignment combines operational leadership with targeted transformation. The Interim Supply Chain Manager will assume responsibility for the plant’s supply chain function, ensuring uninterrupted performance while leading the preparation and launch of a warehouse improvement programme.
The role requires a hands-on interim professional who can quickly establish credibility within the plant, maintain operational discipline and deliver measurable improvements across planning, inventory, logistics and supplier coordination.
- Lead the Supply Chain function for a manufacturing facility in southern Poland, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational performance.
- Manage the local Supply Chain team and provide visible day-to-day leadership across planning, logistics, materials management and customer fulfilment.
- Drive the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity and material availability.
Improve supply chain performance through enhanced KPI management, inventory optimisation and logistics effectiveness. - Oversee MRP-driven material planning and direct sourcing activities to support uninterrupted production.
- Strengthen coordination between customers, suppliers, production and headquarters-based commercial functions.
- Ensure shipment quality, delivery performance and inventory accuracy while maintaining service levels.
- Lead annual stock-taking activities and manage logistics-related escalations and complaints.
- Prepare and initiate a warehouse improvement project focused on process efficiency, material flow, inventory visibility and operational control.
Interim Manager Required Skills:
You are an experienced Interim Supply Chain Manager who is comfortable stepping into live operational environments where continuity, performance and rapid decision-making are essential.
- Significant experience leading Supply Chain functions within automotive manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, logistics and supplier coordination.
- Able to establish credibility quickly with plant leadership teams, production managers and headquarters stakeholders.
- Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable balancing strategic priorities with daily operational demands.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, supported by excellent ERP, SAP and Excel skills.
- Experienced in driving operational improvement while maintaining business continuity.
- Calm under pressure, decisive and highly execution-oriented.
- Automotive aftermarket experience would be advantageous, particularly within demand planning, forecasting, parts lifecycle management, distribution networks and inventory optimisation.
- Able to work full-time on site and lead effectively within a manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements:

- Proven Supply Chain leadership experience within automotive manufacturing.
- Strong track record of leading plant-based supply chain operations, including planning, logistics and materials management.
- Experience driving S&OP, MRP and inventory optimisation initiatives.
- Strong SAP and ERP expertise, supported by advanced analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through periods of transition while maintaining performance.
- Fluency in both Polish and English.
