Our client is a key player in their industry, with a focus on maintaining excellence in production and employee engagement. They value strong leadership, operational stability, and compliance, especially in a dynamic market environment.

  • Take full responsibility for the HR function in a manufacturing plant located in Western Slovakia.
  • Oversee negotiations with all relevant stakeholders, including the parent company in Germany, trade unions, employees, and suppliers of temporary workforce.
  • Collaborate closely with the HQ in Germany to align HR strategies and processes.
  • Ensure smooth operations through effective workforce capacity planning and proactive resource management.
  • Respond strategically to market fluctuations with potential workforce adjustments, including negotiations with trade unions to ensure balanced decision-making.
  • Establish and manage compliance protocols, ensure governance standards are met, and provide transparent reporting across all HR-related activities.
  • Work in partnership with the local plant management to address HR needs and support the business objectives of the site.

Manager Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an HR Director or in an equivalent senior HR leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Slovak employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure full legal compliance in all HR processes.
  • Fluency in English, Slovak, or Czech is mandatory; proficiency in German would be considered advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to foster productive relationships with trade unions, senior management, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of managing workforce changes, including lay-offs or reorganizations, in a dynamic and challenging market.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multinational teams and navigate a matrix organizational structure effectively.
